On July 29, 2023 I lost my best friend Maarten. We were going to live to be 90 together, but at 46 years old he was only just over half. For Maarten I will participate in the Alpe d’HuZes on June 6, 2024. A sponsorship campaign to raise money for cancer research.
With De Farsi Ploeg we will raise as much money as possible to control this nasty disease in the future. I have the privilege of doing this climb, he on the racing bike and I walking, together with my dear friend Reza Farsi. Another rare friendship that we both immediately knew would be a “keeper”…
